There is something very special brewing at Eureka Heights Brewery that will support the lifesaving work of the Houston SPCA when a new craft beer called ‘My Own Best Friend’ makes its debut on Saturday, September 10 at the Heights brewery. The animal protection organization will receive 100% of total sales that day, then $1 for all pints and $1 for all 6-packs of the exclusive craft beer sold at their brewery starting September 11.

The adult beverage (humans only!) will be a raspberry and cherry Kölsch-style of beer that is fermented in ale yeast, finished in cold temperatures like a lager, and will be fruity, bright, and clear. The original artwork will wrap the 12-ounce can with bold hues and will include the Houston SPCA logo on the side. The entire process, from brewing to packaging, will take several weeks to produce the inaugural batch.*

The Houston SPCA and Eureka Heights Launch Party will be held Saturday, September 10 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Eureka Heights, located at 941 W. 18th Street, Houston, Texas 77008.

The dog-friendly special event will feature an IG-worthy photo backdrop; crafts for kids such as DIY dog bandanas; El Taco Initiative food truck, a DJ as well as branded giveaways. The first 20 pet patrons who request, will receive a free Hurricane Pet Disaster Kit at the Houston SPCA table.
