Abused Kitten Update

(December 5, 2023)

Houston SPCA and Harris County Constable Precinct 1 rescued two abused kittens last June after a veterinary clinic reported to officials that the kittens were suffering from chronic physical abuse.

Graham William Reid of Sugar Land was convicted of two counts of felony animal cruelty in Harris County on October 31, 2023, after it was discovered that both of his three-month-old kittens were suffering from multiple rib fractures, as well as one with an apparent head fracture. He has been sentenced to four years in prison.

“Reporting animal cruelty saved both of those kittens’ lives and ended his vicious cycle of animal abuse,” said Jay Chase, Chief of Animal Cruelty Investigations at the Houston SPCA. To report animal cruelty or an animal in distress, please call 713-869-SPCA (7722) or file a report HERE.
