As spring approaches, the Houston SPCA gears up for what we affectionately call “Baby Season.” This is the time of year when we see a significant increase in the number of orphaned animals requiring our care and attention. From tiny kittens and puppies to wildlife, these vulnerable animals depend on us for their survival.
What is Baby Season?
Baby Season brings with it a surge of orphaned animals in need of nurturing and care. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide round-the-clock support for these vulnerable babies. From ensuring they receive proper nutrition to providing medical care and socialization, every aspect of their well-being is carefully attended to.
During baby season, we see an increase in the need for essential supplies such as food, medication, and specialized equipment. These resources are vital in providing the best possible care for our young litters. Additionally, the opening of our nursery facility means that we require additional staff and volunteers to provide round-the-clock care for newborn kittens and puppies.
Support during Baby Season is crucial. These orphaned animals rely on us to ensure they receive the care they need to thrive. That’s why we need your help! Your contributions can help provide food, medical care, and supplies essential for their well-being.
To help us prepare for Baby Season, we’re hosting a Baby Shower on April 27th at our Birthday Bash! This is an opportunity to contribute to our efforts by making a monetary donation or selecting items from our wishlist. Your generosity helps us continue our mission of providing compassionate care to animals in need.
At the Houston SPCA, we believe that every animal deserves a chance at a happy and healthy life. With your support, we can ensure that orphaned animals receive the love and care they need during baby season and beyond. Thank you for being a part of our lifesaving work. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
