CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Bulldog Kicked, Thrown by His Hind Legs

The Houston SPCA, in collaboration with the Harris County Pct. 1 Constable’s office, responded to a disturbing report of animal abuse involving an English Bulldog on Monday.  

This incident was captured on a Ring doorbell camera, revealing the owner kicking the one-year-old dog and then callously lifting the 50-pound dog by one of its back legs, tossing it across the walkway.  

Upon arrival with a civil seizure warrant to rescue the bulldog, officials also discovered two French Bulldogs confined in a small wire kennel, soaked in urine and feces.  

Jay Chase, Chief Cruelty Investigator at The Houston SPCA, emphasized the importance of reporting animal cruelty, stating, “If you are able to safely obtain photos or video to report animal cruelty, it can be very useful against those who dare to commit these crimes in public view.” Reporting cruelty can save lives.  

All three dogs are now safely in the care of the Houston SPCA while this case is presented before a judge on Wednesday.  

It’s essential to remember that subjecting animals to abuse and neglect is considered animal cruelty, and it’s a felony in the state of Texas, punishable by up to two years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
