Join us on April 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an action-packed day of family-friendly fun, where you can experience our lifesaving work up close, meet some of our incredible team members, and learn more about how we help tens of thousands of animals each year. Whether you’re watching neonatal kittens get bottle-fed, meeting ambassador birds from our Wildlife Center, or cheering on your little ones in an Easter egg hunt, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here’s what’s in store for this special springtime celebration!

🌸 Egg Hunts at Noon & 2 p.m.
Get your camera phone ready – you’ll want to capture your little ones’ hunt for colorful eggs inside our spacious dog parks! Egg hunts are first-come, first-served for children ages 0–2 and 3–5, so be sure to bring their baskets and get ready for some fun. Location: Houston SPCA Dog Parks
🐴 Equine Chats at 1 p.m. & 3 p.m.
Meet our award-winning Equine and Farm Animal Team inside the Houston SPCA Rescue Arena and watch an engaging demonstration with one of our rescued equines. Location: Houston SPCA Rescue Arena
🦉 Wildlife Chats occurring all-day
Learn all about the 16,000 injured, ill, or orphaned wild animals who come into our Wildlife Center every year! Meet a wildlife expert and our ambassador birds for an up-close experience. Location: Just outside the Houston SPCA Adoption Center
🐱 Kitten Nursery with feedings at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
See our lifesaving work in action! Our neonatal team will be bottle-feeding little orphaned kittens inside a glass-walled room in the Adoption Center Cattery, giving you a rare glimpse into their round-the-clock care. Location: Adoption Center Cattery
☕ Free Refreshments from 7Brew Coffee
Enjoy free lemonade, iced coffee, and tea from 7Brew Coffee while you explore all the fun activities on campus!
🎁 Giveaways from VCA Animal Hospitals and GFL Environmental
Stop by to visit our friends at VCA and GFL Environmental, who will be handing out fun giveaways during the event!
🍻 Eureka Heights Beer Garden from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For our guests 21 and over, enjoy beer samplings from Eureka Heights while you take in the festivities.
🍧 Kona Ice & Prize Wheel
Cool off with a refreshing shaved ice treat from Kona Ice, and don’t forget to spin the prize wheel for a chance to win fun giveaways!
Looking to add a new family member to your family? Visit our Pet Adoption Center, open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., to meet some of our adorable, adoptable pets. We will have Pet Adoption Specials for cats and kittens as well as large dogs over 35 pounds. There will be free Adoption Gift Bags from our friends at Hill’s Pet Nutrition. You can even view adoptable pets before the event here.
