Houston SPCA will host the Clear the Shelters pet adoption event on their Campus for All Animals on Saturday, August 27 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Seniors 60+ will receive up to $50 off pet adoption fees. In addition to adoptable pets, the campus will host free activities and giveaways throughout the day.
Expert Chats & Live Demonstrations at Clear the Shelters
- Noon – Proper Pet Introductions – Large Dog Play Yards
- 1 p.m. – Equine Chat & Demonstrations – Equine Rescue Arena
- 2 p.m. – Native Wildlife Chat – Houston SPCA Wildlife Center Lobby
- 3 p.m. – Equine Chat & Demonstrations – Equine Rescue Arena
Starting at Noon (free while supplies last)
- Kona Ice snow cones
- Fresh, handspun cotton candy
- Custom-made balloon art animals & face painting
- Beer sampling from Eureka Heights Brewery
During the Clear the Shelters adoption event, every canine and feline adopter will receive a free Hill’s Pet Nutrition gift bag as well as a hurricane preparedness kit (while supplies last; one per family/person).
The Houston SPCA is located near Memorial Park at 7007 Old Katy Road, Houston, Texas 77024, and is open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
