Houston SPCA to host Clear the Shelters on August 27

Houston SPCA will host the Clear the Shelters pet adoption event on their Campus for All Animals on Saturday, August 27 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Seniors 60+ will receive up to $50 off pet adoption fees. In addition to adoptable pets, the campus will host free activities and giveaways throughout the day.

Expert Chats & Live Demonstrations at Clear the Shelters

  • Noon – Proper Pet Introductions – Large Dog Play Yards
  • 1 p.m. – Equine Chat & Demonstrations – Equine Rescue Arena
  • 2 p.m. – Native Wildlife Chat – Houston SPCA Wildlife Center Lobby
  • 3 p.m. – Equine Chat & Demonstrations – Equine Rescue Arena

Starting at Noon (free while supplies last)

  • Kona Ice snow cones
  • Fresh, handspun cotton candy
  • Custom-made balloon art animals & face painting
  • Beer sampling from Eureka Heights Brewery

During the Clear the Shelters adoption event, every canine and feline adopter will receive a free Hill’s Pet Nutrition gift bag as well as a hurricane preparedness kit (while supplies last; one per family/person).

The Houston SPCA is located near Memorial Park at 7007 Old Katy Road, Houston, Texas 77024, and is open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Adoptable dogs are available at Clear the Shelters on August 27.
